Introduction
The DB Working Group assists the Benefits Committee and meets on a bi-monthly basis to discuss DB Funding Issues.
Objectives
The overall objective is to monitor DB Funding issues in the context of supporting IAPF members and helping the Benefits Committee develop IAPF policy on DB funding issues.
Deliverables
- To make ongoing representations on improvements in legislation and provide information to government substantiating the IAPF views on DB Funding.
- To review and provide input into the development of the Pensions Insolvency Payment Scheme (PIPS).
- To provide input into the Benefits Committee in relation to the Benefits Conference and Benefits Seminar.
- To issue regular updates to members through the IAPF website, E Updates, media and magazine.
- To monitor Solvency II developments and keep Council and IAPF members updated.
