It was announced at the IAPF Benefits Conference in October that a Hybrid Forum would be held by IAPF in order to further explore this new development on the Irish pensions scene. There have been a number of high profile examples of hybrid arrangements put in place and this forum will hear from some of those that have been through the process. The presenters give practical viewpoints of the types of issues involved and also an insight into why various companies might decide why a hybrid arrangement is appropriate for them. We will also hear from the Netherlands where hybrid schemes are further developed and about the Dutch model of collective DC schemes which allow for risk sharing and inter-generational support within a DC context.
