The Government's Green Paper on Pensions was published on 17th October together with a Review of the Irish Annuities Market (by Indecon and Life Strategies) and an Actuarial Review of the Social Insurance Fund (by Mercer). This seminar will be the first opportunity to hear analysis of the Green Paper and the Review of the Irish Annuities Market. Jerry Moriarty of the IAPF and Michael Culligan of Life Strategies will review those papers and Orlaigh Quinn from the Department of Social & Family Affairs will provide further detail on the Green Paper preparation and on the consultation process that will now commence. This will be followed by a panel discussion and debate of some of the key issues arising from the Green Paper.
