Introduction

BEING A TRUSTEE IN 2010
‘Make the Regulations work for you’

As the role of the trustee has become more complex, it has become imperative that trustees undertake training to help them fulfill their fiduciary duties. To this end, the Pensions Board has amended Section 59 of the Pensions Act, thereby making trustee training compulsory. To coincide with the implementation of these regulations, Brendan Kennedy will provide trustees with an overview of these regulations and this will be complemented by an overview of the practical issues facing trustees by Anne Maher.

This discussion is designed to provide help and support both from the speakers’ own experience and the experience of fellow trustees.

Who Should Go?
The discussion will be limited to trustees only and will not include any professional advisers in order to allow trustees the freedom to openly share their own experience and concerns.
