The IAPF Trustee Investment Training Programme is aimed at trustees and pension professionals who have attended a trustee training course and who want to deepen their understanding of investment issues.

The programme covers key aspects of investment theory and fund management practice through a mix of presentations by experts, group workshops and real life case studies.

On completion of this course, delegates will gain a deeper understanding of: The asset classes that make up an investment portfolio, Factors that influence investment strategy; How to address the issue of risk; Post-crisis and deficit issues; Recognise the main elements involved in choosing and implementing an investment strategy, Various manager structures and Investment decision making.

The course content is continually updated to reflect current issues and trustee requirements and a new ‘trustee topic’ module will be explored at each of the training courses.
