Introduction

Demystifying ESG and Responsible investment

With the publication of the Ireland Roadmap for Fiduciary Duty in the 21st Century, and the upcoming implementation of IORP II, many trustees are questioning what ESG and Responsible investment means in practice, and how these considerations fit into an already complex role.

In this briefing we will discuss:

-       Defining the different approaches to ESG and responsible investment

-       How to reflect ESG beliefs into a statement of investment policy principles

-       What questions to ask of your investment managers – and how to judge the answers

-       Options for reporting on your ESG approach

-       Reflections on the fossil fuel debate

This event is open to Trustees only in order to facilitate open discussion. There is no charge for Trustees to attend but we ask that you book your place in advance.
