Introduction

The growing role of ESG in European Private Debt - how to implement ESG and SFDR requirements when investing in private markets. A “how-to guide” from a Real Estate Debt perspective

Irish and European pension schemes continue to increase allocations to Private Debt funds, attracted by higher yields and lower defaults than public markets are able to deliver. Meanwhile Europe’s debt market has been slow to adopt standardized measures and reporting on ESG criteria, with only 15% of Europe’s largest banks identifying as climate-related risk managers.

At this webinar, Schroders explores these two competing trends – the growth of private debt markets; and the increasing regulatory demands on ESG reporting and disclosures for clients and investors alike.

We will look at best practice when implementing ESG considerations, key things to consider and the ways in which Schroders expects the real estate debt markets in Europe to develop.  This will be presented by Natalie Howard, Head of Real estated Debt at Schroders Capital.

CPD

This event will be allocated 1 CPD hour by the IAPF for on-going trustee training requirements.
